Exelent Mexican restaurant fresh food great Margaritas

Great Food, authentic except for tropes like Tortilla Chips and Salsa. Outside patio area...lots of room out there. Can often catch music happening. Inside has large wooden chairs and often seems a bit crammed. Tres Leches is delicious.

This is the most authentic Mexican Restaurant in Baton Rouge. I eat here frequently and love the food. Their service is usually good and food tastes really fresh and delicious while being reasonably priced. Perfect place for larger group or family gatherings. I do recommend people to eat here. Well worth a stop. In my opinion this place have the Best Tacos and Mexican food in Baton Rouge.

Great food and service. I read the reviews before going paying attention to the negative reviews mostly. The service was awesome, the nachos were a piled high plate full, not like the negative reviews I read. 4 drinks (happy hour), and two main courses for less than $50 is considered a good deal by me. I will be back.

Their food is authentic Mexican food and served in a cozy family oriented restaurant. It has a separate bar with high tables, a small dining area with about twelve tables, and a large covered patio with an area for a band that plays on Fridays. The wait staff is cordial and attentive. The frozen margaritas are made with fresh lime juice and not a bottle or powder mix...this is an outstanding neighborhood restaurant on Jones Creek road. The owner and his wife, Jimmy and Susanna, are on the premises during dinning hours.

I take my family here all the time. Food is always good and the wait is never a problem.

The worst service ever. Ask twice for service, finally a server show up. We tried to order she said she would be back and never showed. The band was great.Had to go to the bar to get a drink. Can’t tell you if the food is good.never ate.

Horrible! My husband was served shrimp enchiladas. After eating most of one his face turned red and he told me the shrimp were rotten and the enchiladas were extremely tough. He called the waitress over to return them saying they were bad. At this point he had lost his appetite and couldn’t eat anything else. We were charged for half of his enchilada plate. He asked to speak to the manager and we were told the manager was at the store but his wife could talk to us. We waited 20 min for her to come talk to us. She didn’t understand why we were upset about being charged for the rotten shrimp. This place had really gone downhill! I would not recommend. There are better Mexican restaurants in Baton Rouge with excellent customer service.

The margarita was a good beginning to the appetizer of chips and bean dip. The meal was very tasty and enough for the 2 of us to share. Good wait staff also. We will definitely be back.

We were literally the only people in the place and it took a very long time to get our order. I ordered a Taco Salad and it was mostly Lettuce very disappointing, I took the 1/2 lb. Of lettuce out and there wasn't much left. Do Not order the Taco Salad! My husband had a Hamburger and said it was good. The place was very clean but we will not be going back there.

The plates aren't "pretty" but the food is fantastic. I love that you get both salsa and bean dip with the chips. The restaurant is small so some of the beer cases are stored around the seating.Shop small. This is a great mom and pop place.

Good atmosphere, outside patio, bar, and great tasting food. The chicken soup is my absolute favorite and the cheese on my food is always so good. Blackened chicken breasts are one of a kind as well.

Give this place a try, if you haven't already. The scratch made michelada (bloody beer) (corona) was money. The salted rim had a zippy lemon flare, and was not too spicy, at my request. I added some salt. The margarita was light, smooth, and tart on a 4 pt and sweet on a 6pt scale. It was nice. The chips and salsa were standard fare. The bean dip was a nice touch. I had the number 9 for lunch, which was a thin cut of meat, with a lemony citrus back note. I had bad lighting, so the entre photo was shown one with and one without a flash. The charra beans were on time. The decor is a bit drab, but all good for lunch with co workers.

The food was amazing, however, they have doubled their prices on the food and drinks since my family of five visited a couple of months ago.

Food is always good. Service is great and they do well with families. Nice place to bring the kids and let them play on the covered patio while you enjoy dinner.

Meat was too tough to cut with sharp knife. Vegetables were mushy. Chips were very thick and hard. Probably won't go back.
